The Walk Strong Foundation (WSF) is a nonprofit medical humanitarian
organization started by Dr. Michael Christie, an orthopedic surgeon in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2008. The four pillars of the foundation are service, education, building infrastructure and
sustained commitment for 10 years to develop a self-sustaining program at each site.

The goal of WSA, working under the umbrella of the WSF, is to improve quality of life in Sub-Saharan Africa by providing access to Hip and Knee Arthroplasty.
